Registration is closed for this event
This is the sixth in a series of presentations by the SE Branch of PIG in the field of external pipe corrosion and cathodic protection. This presentation explains the requirements and the practicalities of pipeline cathodic protection monitoring and maintenance for non-specialists. It explains why the monitoring is necessary and what maintenance is recommended. The main pipeline above-ground survey techniques are discussed. An example of the very latest technical developments in the reporting of routine monitoring and maintenance surveys is given.

The paper is written and presented by Ken Lax and Richard Lindley of Corroconsult UK Ltd.

Ken has been a member of PIG for more than 30 years and has represented PIG on national and international standards committees for coating and cathodic protection since 2003.

Richard is the project director at Corroconsult UK Ltd and has more than 20 years’ international experience in all aspects of onshore and offshore developments.  One of his responsibilities is the development of state-of-the-art above-ground survey systems featuring real-time feedback from the field teams.
