Webinar: High-Speed Railway Systems and Buried Pipelines

Registration is closed for this event
Join the South East Branch and Ken Lax for the next presentation in the Corrosion Protection Series - High-Speed Railway Systems and Buried Pipelines.

High speed railways can draw very high currents. These currents have the possibility to interfere with adjacent pipelines and cause unacceptable touch potentials and enhance the corrosion rate on buried pipelines.

This Presentation will explain how these risks are caused and how they can be managed. The corrosion risk to a buried pipe when there are rapidly changing potentials can be difficult to assess.  This is an increasing problem with the proliferation of high speed trains.
