Webinar: The New guide to the structural design of buried pipes

Registration is closed for this event
Due to the Success and demand this webinar is BACK so if you missed join us! For decades the UK’s approach to the structural design of buried pipes has barely changed. However, a revised BS EN 1295 was published in 2019 and was followed by a revised BS9295 in February 2020. The new guidance represents a significant change to the structural design of flexible pipes in the UK and includes a new method and soil model for flexible pipe design. There is also improved guidance on the design of all pipe materials. The seminar will provide an overview of the UK’s approach to the structural design of buried pipes and will provide an overview of the notable changes brought about by the new guidance.

In the UK we have embraced new pipe materials and products. Some of these products are more sensitive to standards of workmanship on site and are sometimes not fully understood by those who are designing, specifying and buying these products. This has resulted in too many problems.

The new BS 9295 represents a significant step towards helping the industry make use of all the products that are on the market whilst avoiding unnecessary problems. It also goes some way to helping designers deal with the cost saving pressures that are applied.

The seminar will provide an overview of the UK’s approach to the structural design of buried pipes and will provide an overview of the notable changes brought about by the new guidance.
