Award Winner's Webinar: H21
H21 is a programme of projects that are aiming to provide the crucial safety and strategic evidence to prove that the gas distribution network that we use today can be re-purposed with 100% hydrogen.
Converting the existing gas distribution network to 100% hydrogen would not only continue to utilise an asset that has been heavily invested in in the past (the gas distribution network), but would also provide huge carbon savings, whilst maintaining choice for customers (between electricity and gas). Current research also indicates that this would cost less than an all-electric solution.
This session will provide an overview of the work completed to date, as well as providing key findings and detailing the next steps in the H21 team’s work on decarbonisation.
