The Eastern Branch
The Eastern Branch is the newest of the branches having only been formed in 2007. The Branch covers East Anglia and parts of the East Midlands. The Branch's member base is centered mainly on the water industry. Activities within the branch include technical evenings and site visits which tend to be water industry related topics but are currently moving into topics from the gas and electricity industries. The programme of events is spread across the Eastern Branch region with many technical paper evening being hosted in Peterborough. The Branch Golf Day is held in June with the 2010 Golf Day being held at the Marriott Sprowston Manor near Norwich. Convener for the event is Keith Childs who can be contacted at kc@contractutilityservices.co.uk for those keen to attend.
Our Annual Dinner was hosted in Peterborough in 2010 but we aim to move this around the region year-on-year. The Eastern Branch is a great host to a number of fantastic networking events for both the members of the senior and young members of the branch.
The Eastern Branch is fortunate to have an active Young Persons network who organise and run a number of events in the region including technical paper evenings, and educational day, and a paper compettition with a significant cash first prize.
